What do we need?

The front and back of your medical insurance card so we can check your level of coverage.

Your date of birth.

A sleep study within the last 5 years. Just email us a copy of your study and a copy of your medical insurance (both sides).

Don’t have a recent sleep study?

No problem, we have a take-home device so you can do a sleep study at home.

Is this covered by medical or dental insurance?

Oral sleep apnea appliances are covered by medical insurance even though a dentist makes the appliance.

Does it help with snoring too?

Yes, you will benefit from using the appliance whether you have obstructive sleep apnea or snore.

How do I care and clean the appliance?

When not in use store in a dry container with the lid off. After use, brush with a soft bristle toothbrush, and rinse with luke-warm water and liquid soap in the morning.

What is the process?

We pre-approve the appliance to make sure your coverage will pay for the appliance. Once approved, we give you a take-home sleep test if one was not done recently. Next, we set up an appointment for you to be scanned for the appliance. A few weeks later we give the appliance to you. Finally, you and your family sleep like babies!!!

Can I use the appliance if I have dentures?

Yes, we can make an appliance to fit dentures or we can make one without the dentures in place.

Why do I need a sleep apnea appliance?

The latest studies link sleep apnea to high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, increased infections from the tubing, and possibly Alzheimer’s Disease.
